授業の目的 【英語】 Goals of the Course | | | This course focuses on planning and operational decision-making in supply chains. Emphasis is placed on inventory management, uncertainty, coordination, and transportation, as well as on how operational decisions affect service levels and profitability. |

After completing this course, students will be able to:
1. Understand key planning decisions such as aggregate planning and sales & operations planning.
2. Explain how inventory and uncertainty influence supply chain performance.
3. Analyze the relationship between product availability, service level, and profitability.
4. Understand coordination and transportation decisions in supply chains. |

Week 9-10: Managing uncertainty in a supply chain (Chapter 12)
Week 11-12: Linking product availability to profits (Chapter 13)

成績評価の方法と基準 Course Evaluation Method and Criteria | | [Course evaluation]
1. Assignments 70%
There will be a homework assignment after each chapter. Each assignment has a due date. Late submission will be accepted with a penalty of a 10% deduction per day (24-hour period).
2. Term Project 30%
This is an individual assignment. Instructions will be provided around 8th week of the semester. Late submission will be accepted with a penalty of a 10% deduction per day (24-hour period).

To pass this course, you must receive a C- or higher grade. The grading schema is the following:
