授業の目的　【日本語】
Goals of the Course(JPN)

本授業は、植物病理学に関する原著論文および総説論文を題材として、植物の病害抵抗性機構、病原微生物の感染・病原性機構、植物―微生物相互作用、生物防除などの最新研究動向を理解することを目的とする。
学生が主体的に文献を選択・発表し、全体討論を通じて研究内容を多角的に考察することで、植物病理学分野における課題設定力および批判的思考力を養う。

Goals of the Course

The purpose of this course is to deepen understanding of advanced plant pathology through critical reading and discussion of original research papers and review articles. By student-led presentations and group discussions, this course aims to enhance the ability to analyze current topics in plant disease resistance, pathogen infection strategies, plant–microbe interactions, and biological control, as well as to develop critical thinking and scientific communication skills.

1.植物病理学に関する原著論文および総説論文を適切に読み解き、その科学的背景・目的・結果・意義を説明できる。

1. Understand and explain the background, objectives, methods, results, and significance of original research papers and review articles in plant pathology.
2. Discuss current topics related to plant defense mechanisms, pathogen infection strategies, and biological control based on scientific literature.

授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan

・授業内容
本授業は演習形式で行う。各回、担当学生が植物病理学に関与する原著論文または総説論文を1編選択し、その内容をプレゼンテーションする。発表後は、論文の科学的意義、実験手法、解釈の妥当性、今後の課題などについて、全体で討論を行う。

This course is conducted in a seminar style.
Each student will present one original research paper or review article related to plant pathology.
Following each presentation, the class will engage in group discussions focusing on scientific background, experimental approaches, interpretation of results, and future perspectives.

Course Evaluation Method and Criteria

成績は、プレゼンテーション内容、授業中の議論への参加により総合的に評価する。
論文内容を正確に理解し、植物病理学的観点から説明・議論できることを合格の基準とする。
Grades are evaluated based on the quality of presentations, active participation in discussions.
