The goal of this course is to understand the paradigms, theories, and methodologies of social sciences by reading international journals and textbooks in Food and Agricultural Economics.

　授業終了時に以下の知識と能力を身につけていることを目標とします。
１）食料・農業経済学の国際文献を読んで最新の議論を理解する。
２）基本的な論文の書き方を習得する。
３）社会科学のパラダイムと方法論を学び、自らのパラダイムと方法論を相対化して理解することができる。

Objectives of the Course
This course aims for students to acquire the following knowledge and skills by the end of the course:
i) to understand the latest discussions in Food and Agricultural Economics by reading international journals.
ii) to acquire the skills of writing journals.
iii) to understand their own paradigms and methodology compared to those in the social sciences.
