授業の目的 【日本語】
Goals of the Course(JPN)
本ゼミは、観光開発を含む国際経済学および国際開発分野について、深くかつ包括的な理解を身につけることを目的とするとともに、修士論文および博士論文の完成を支援することを目的とする。
セミナーIaおよびIbは修士課程1年次(M1)向け、セミナーIIaおよびIIbは修士課程2年次(M2)向けに設けられている。研究生(RS)、M1・M2学生および博士課程学生(DC)は合同でゼミに参加し、各自の研究内容およびその進捗について発表・検討・議論を行う。
すべての学生は、研究の進捗状況に応じて、持ち回りで研究発表を行うことが求められる。なお、本ゼミを履修する学生には、経済学の基礎的な知識を有していることが期待される。
授業の目的 【英語】
Goals of the Course
This seminar aims to provide students with a deep and comprehensive understanding of International Economics and International Development, including Tourism Development, and to support the completion of master’s theses and doctoral dissertations.
Seminars Ia and Ib are designed for first-year master’s students (M1), while Seminars IIa and IIb are intended for second-year master’s students (M2). Research students (RS), M1 and M2 students, and doctoral candidates (DC) participate jointly to present, review, and discuss their research progress.
All students are required to give presentations on their research in rotation, according to their stage of progress. Students enrolling in this seminar are expected to have a basic understanding of economics.

本ゼミを通じて、学生は経済・社会データを数量的および質的分析手法の双方を用いて分析し、その研究成果を効果的に発表できるようになる。
また、本ゼミの最終的な目標は、学生が修士論文および博士論文を完成させることを支援することである。

Objectives of the Course
By the end of this seminar, students will be able to analyze economic and social data using both quantitative and qualitative analytical methods, and to effectively present their research findings.
The ultimate goal of the seminar is to support students in successfully completing their academic theses and dissertations.
授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan
Course Structure / Schedule

Introduction and Orientation
Overview of the seminar and creation of the presentation schedule
Student Presentations on Research Plans and Research Progress
Participants will present their research plans and progress, followed by a question-and-answer session.
Each presentation will consist of 30 minutes for presentation and 15 minutes for Q&A.
Academic guidance and feedback will be provided for each presentation.
Presentation materials must be distributed to all seminar members via email at least one day in advance.

References and reading materials will be introduced during the seminar sessions or office hours.
Reports and publications issued by international organizations such as the World Bank, UNDP, and the World Trade Organization (WTO) may serve as essential reference materials.

Students are required to prepare their presentation materials (PPT or PDF) and send them to all seminar members at least one day before their presentation.
