Goals of the Course
This research seminar aims to help M1 students develop fundamental research skills necessary for conducting master’s thesis research in the field of education and human resource development. The seminar focuses on quantitative research methods with applications to empirical research in developing countries. Students will learn how to identify and review academic literature, formulate research questions, develop theoretical frameworks, and apply econometric analysis to empirical data. Through systematic lectures, hands-on practice with statistical software, and iterative presentation sessions, students will develop their own research proposals. The course emphasizes practical skills for conducting rigorous academic research, from literature review to final publication, preparing students for successful completion of their master’s thesis and potential publication in academic journals.
