1) Why does aid fail?
2) Why does empowerment matter?
3) How is it possible to enhance people's agencies?
4)What can we learn through emerging and innovative case studies of poverty alleviation/wellbeing facilitation?

Term paper (50%) and contribution to class discussions (50%). To pass the course, students must get a minimum of C in each category.
