授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan | | 4月15日（水）16:30-18:00にて、授業ガイダンスを予定。大学院ガイダンス配布資料、TACTのお知らせを見ること。
この授業では、名古屋周辺で起こっている様々な環境問題のうち、以下の(１)～(３)の３つのテーマを対象として、事前学習と現地調査を踏まえ、その状況、原因、今後の見通し、解決策などを現地調査終了後に議論する。
4月15日開催の授業ガイダンスにて、各回テーマに関連する調査課題を個別に指定するので、受講希望であっても4月15日の授業ガイダンスに欠席した場合は、受講を認めない。受講者は指定された調査課題について、自分で調べて他者にわかるようレポートをまとめ、期限までに提出し、事前学習で報告すること。また課題によっては、他の受講生が作成したレポートを読んだ上で、自らの考えを交えてレポートを作成する、あるいは質疑応答を求める場合がある。なお、（１）（３）の現地訪問は終日、（２）の現地訪問は12時から17時を予定している。
（１）濃尾平野西部の環境問題と自然災害： 5月2日（土）、
事前学習は4月22日（水）16:30-18:00
濃尾平野西部では、人間と水に関連した様々な環境問題や自然災害が起きてきた。これらの歴史と現状を藤前干潟、輪中の里と長良川河口堰を訪問することで理解を深め、この地域の人と水に関する将来にわたる持続可能性について現場で議論しながら考察する。
（２）持続可能な社会づくり：民間企業等の課題：6月11日（木）または6月12日（金）、事前学習は6月3日（水）17:00-18:30（時間に注意）。ただし、見学先企業の都合により事前学習と現地訪問の日程を変更する可能性がある。
産業廃棄物処理・リサイクル業における日本最大手の民間企業における現場視察を通して、その技術的・経営的・社会的側面についての課題を考察する。
（３）地域・暮らしを支えるインフラ施設： 7月4 日（土）、
事前学習は6月24日 （水）16:30-18:00
水道・道路など，広域インフラ網の維持管理は, 日本の重要な課題である。ここでは，西三河一帯に水を供給する明治用水の主要利水施設を見学しながら，その重要性を改めて認識するとともに，今後のあり方について議論を行う。あわせて，異なる用途（農業・工業・上水道）の事業者間調整や，水質環境基準について学ぶ。 | The guidance will be scheduled from 16:30 to 18:00 on April 15, the detailed information delivered at the orientation program of the GSES, and/or on the TACT class site.
In this class, among various environmental problems occurring around Nagoya, the following three themes (1) to (3) are targeted, and the situation, causes, and prospects are based on pre-study/lecture and field surveys, we will discuss solutions after each site-visit.
In the class guidance held on April 15th, we will individually specify research topic related to each theme. Even if you wish to take the course, if you are absent from the class guidance on April 15th, you will not be allowed to take the course. Students will be required to research the designated research topic on their own, compile a report that can be understood by others, submit it by the deadline, and report on each pre-study. Regarding the research theme (1), since we cannot secure enough time to prepare for pre-study, we will set up post-study and report on the research subject. It is also planned that students will revise their reports and/or discuss after reading reports of the other students. Then both of (1) and (3) site visit will be scheduled for all day, (2) site visit will be scheduled from 12:00 to 17:00.
(1) Environmental problems and natural disasters in western part of the Noubi Plain
Pre-study/Lecture: from 16:30 to 18:00 on April 22, Site visit: May 2.
The western part of the Nobi Plain includes the deltaic estuarine region of the Kiso Three Rivers, where agricultural lands and residential areas are distributed below the sea level and floods have occurred periodically. The Nagaragawa River Mouth Dam was constructed in this area, and the Fujimae Mud Flat has been preserved as a registered wetland under the Ramsar Convention. Considering the history and current situations, we will discuss the relation between nature and human activities in this area.
(2) Creating a sustainable society — issues for private companies, etc.
Pre-study/Lecture: from 17:00 to 18:30 on June 3, Site visit: June 11 or June 12. . However, the pre-learning and on-site visits may be rescheduled due to the availability of the company being visited.
Regarding waste treatment and resource regeneration, which are indispensable for realizing a sustainable society, we will visit the Daiseki Co. Ltd., at Minato-ku, Nagoya, and study melting treatment and resource recycling facilities.
(3) Infrastructure networks supporting local society and daily life: Saturday, July 4, Pre-visit study session: June 24, 16:30 - 18:00
The operation and maintenance of infrastructure networks such as water supply and roads are critical issues especially for Japan. Here, we will visit key water utilization facilities of the Meiji Yousui, which supplies water to the West Mikawa region, reaffirm its importance, and then discuss Japan’s future direction. We will also learn about coordination among different uses (agriculture, industry, domestic water) and environmental standards of water quality. |
