本講義では、アジアを対象に、「政策」、「生業」という視点から、森林を中心とした自然環境と人間とのかかわりについて、社会科学的な視点から理解を深め、国内および国際的な観点から、自然と人間が共生できる持続的な社会の実現について考究することを目的とする。

Goals of the Course
In this lecture, we will understand the relationships between natural environment, especially forests, and human beings from the points of "policies" and "livelihoods” in Asia and Africa, and eventually aim to investigate the realization of sustainable societies, in which nature and humans can coexist.

Course Evaluation Method and Criteria
毎回の授業への取り組みとレポートにより評価する。自然環境と人間とのかかわりについての基本的な概念を正しく把握していることを合格の基準とする。
Students will be evaluated based on their participation in each class and their submitted reports. To pass the course, they must demonstrate an accurate understanding of the fundamental concepts regarding the relationship between the natural environment and human beings.
