Goals of the Course(JPN) | | | ポスト構造主義フェミニズム、インターセクショナリティ、批判的実在論などジェンダー研究の理論的展開のポイントを学んだうえで、分析で用いるカテゴリー（性別・人種エスニシティ・階層等々）の選定や、主観的経験と客観的な構造の線引きの適切さなど、実証研究において考慮すべき論点について学習します。また国際比較・地域比較研究において歴史的固有性の把握と性別秩序の普遍性の認識を両立させることの重要性について、具体的な研究事例をとおして考えます。 |

授業の目的 【英語】
Goals of the Course | | | Students will learn key theoretical developments in gender studies—such as poststructuralist feminism, intersectionality, and critical realism—and issues to consider in empirical research. These include selecting categories for analysis (gender, race/ethnicity, class, etc.) and appropriately delineating subjective experience from objective structures. Furthermore, through specific research examples, we will consider the importance of reconciling an understanding of historical specificity with recognition of the universality of gendered orders in international and regional comparative studies. |

授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan | | 【授業の構成】日本語と英文の関連基本文献を精読し、討論する。今期はジェンダー・セクシュアリティ研究の方法や概念について考察した文献を読む。参加者各自の研究テーマに関する自由報告の機会を設け、修士論文作成に向けた研究の基礎づくりをおこなう。
【履修条件・関連する科目】理論社会学セミナーを受講していること
【授業時間外学習の指示】文献の予習の他に、自身の報告に際しては長時間の自宅学習が必要になるので留意すること。
また履修者は本セミナーで実施される研究倫理教育ガイダンスの受講を必須とする。 | In this seminar we read and interpret English/Japanese literature on sociology of gender and sexuality. To develop research skills and thereafter to prepare for master's thesis, active involvement is appreciated and opportunities provided to discuss each participant's research theme.
All participant are required to enroll in the theoritical Sociology.
In addition to preparing the literature review, note that your own presentation will require extended periods of self-study at home.
All participants are required to attend the Guidance session on research ethics conducted as part of this seminar. |
