- 自身の関心のある領域について、新規性・進歩性の高い問いを立てられるようになる
- 理論的貢献、手法的革新、教育的示唆の高い研究計画を立てられるようになる
- 自身の研究をわかりやすい学術英語で執筆・発表ができるようになる

Goals of the Course
The aim of this course is to help you acquire the following abilities that will support you in writing your PhD thesis:
- To be able to formulate highly novel and progressive research questions in your area of interest.
- To be able to design research plans that promise strong theoretical contributions, methodological innovation, and educational implications.
- To be able to write up and present your research in clear academic English.

Objectives of the Course(JPN)
博士論文研究に向けた研究計画を立てるため、以下の構成の研究計画書の作成を目標とする：
To prepare a research plan for your PhD thesis, the goal is to produce a research proposal with the following structure:
- Title
- Background (1-1.5 pages)
- RQ + Method (2 pages)
- Potential issues & challenges (0.5 page)
- References (no limit)
授業の内容や構成
Course Content / Plan
以下に繋げることを目的として、指導教員と議論を重ねながら上記研究計画書を作成する;
- 博論で捉えたい現象を特定し、体験することで問いの解像度を高める
- Theoretical frameworkの領域特定: 主たる文献リストの作成 (30 papersを目安に)
- 博士論文研究を通して学ぶべき研究手法の特定
- 類似した研究が見つかった場合は、Replication studyとして実施することも推奨

In order to connect this work to the following aims, you will develop the above proposal through repeated discussions with your supervisor:
- Specify and experience the phenomenon you wish to capture in your dissertation, in order to sharpen the resolution of your research questions.
- Delimit the area of your theoretical framework and compile a core reading list (around 30 papers).
- Identify the research methods you need to master through your PhD thesis.
- If you find closely related prior studies, it is also recommended to conduct your project as a replication study.

研究計画書を評価の基準とし、60点以上を合格とする。
